Meet Magento: the official Magento Association event

Meet Magento is the official international event format dedicated to the Magento community and created by the Magento Association. Designed to foster knowledge sharing, case studies, and innovation in the ecommerce sector, it has become one of the most important events for professionals using Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce to develop ecommerce projects.

The 2026 Italian edition, organized by Andrea Saccà of Magentiamo, will feature a full day of presentations, technical workshops, success stories, networking opportunities, and insights into the latest trends shaping digital commerce.

Daniele Rutigliano among the speakers of Meet Magento Italy 2026

Among the event speakers will be Daniele Rutigliano, President of Assecomm, digital entrepreneur, university lecturer, lecturer in the Master’s Program at Tirana Business University College (TBU), and author of several ecommerce books, including Magento 2, published by Hoepli.

His presentation will focus on the topic: “The State of Italian Ecommerce in 2026”. During the session, he will analyze major international trends, the impact of artificial intelligence on consumers, the evolution of Agentic Commerce, and the challenges that merchants and brands will face in the coming years.

For Rutigliano, this marks a return to the Meet Magento stage, having previously spoken at the 2016 edition with a presentation entitled “Case History: SEO, 404 Errors and URL Keys on Magento”. In addition, in 2021 Rutigliano was a speaker at the official international conference Magento Connect – Spring 2022, where he delivered a workshop entitled “How to Optimize Magento for Google”.

Magento and the Albanian market

Although the Albanian ecommerce market is still in a growth phase, Magento continues to be a solution adopted by companies requiring advanced and highly customizable platforms. According to a study conducted by Assecomm, more than 4% of Albanian ecommerce websites use Magento as their ecommerce technology platform, with most of them based in the capital city of Tirana. While this share remains relatively small, it is significant because Magento is typically adopted by structured companies with complex catalogs, international operations, and advanced integration requirements.

What is Magento?

Magento is an ecommerce platform launched in 2008 and later acquired by Adobe in 2018. The platform enables businesses to build highly customizable online stores, manage large product catalogs, integrate ERP and CRM systems as well as marketplaces, and implement advanced omnichannel strategies. Today, Magento is still considered one of the international standards for enterprise ecommerce and is used by thousands of merchants worldwide.

Special benefits for Albanian merchants

Thanks to the collaboration between Assecomm and the event organizers, special benefits will be available for merchants and ecommerce operators from Albania. The objective is to encourage Albanian companies to participate in one of Europe’s leading ecommerce events, creating opportunities for international networking, professional development, and business partnerships.

A bridge between the Italian and Albanian ecommerce ecosystems

Assecomm’s participation as a media partner confirms its commitment to fostering dialogue between ecommerce operators in the Balkans and those in Western Europe. Through international partnerships, events, educational activities, and networking initiatives, Assecomm continues to promote the growth of ecommerce culture in Albania and throughout the Balkans, creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs, startups, and industry professionals.
